Whad up my brotha?

That's right. I am a big brother. I have not posted in a while because I've been busy teaching Hank the ways of life. He still has a lot to learn. He still sits still for the camera and smiles for it too. I'm trying to teach him to run away or look the other direction when pictures are being taken, but Hank doesn't always listen - at least he is picking "not listening" up.

Other than Hank being around life is pretty much the same. I go to the park, eat croutons, and poo in my pants. Pretty sweet I think. I have been watching a lot of Pocoyo on youtube and netflix. I like Pocoyo. Sometimes I watch it in Spanish or German, but I like it in English also. If you haven't seen it you should check it out. Just search for it on youtube and you'll find dozens of episodes. There are about 7 minutes long, so I get to watch several in one sitting.

I need to go give Henry a hug now. For some reason Mama and Dada pull me away from him whenever I am showing him loves. I don't get it. I thought they wanted us to get along. I just don't get it.

MARCH IS GREAT!!!

You know what's great about this month? My grandma’s birthday is this month (it’s actually in two days). My aunt’s birthday is this month (not until the 25th though). My “uncle”’s birthday is this month too. Also it just so happens that the Ides of March is this month. Pretty spectacular. My mom’s cousin’s kid’s birthday is this month and so is my mom’s cousin. As long as it isn’t a leap year the days of March match the days of February up through the 28th. Awesome!! Oh yeah and my friend Big Allie’s birthday is this month. March Madness happens during March (whatever that is). But most important of all is that MY birthday is this month. Last year we celebrated it 3 times. I have repeatedly reminded my parents of this fact so we can have a repeat but they seem to think that because we celebrated it three times we don’t have to celebrate again until I turn 4. WHAT?!? I don’t think so. They’re also telling me that there is a possibility my little brother is going to be born this month… oh dear… You know though, I am not going to be the jealous big brother. He is going to be jealous of me because of how awesome I am. That is pretty much the way it is going to be.

Christmas break so far

This is a video that Dada put together of my adventures so far during Christmas break. We've been stuck inside because the weather has been so bad. But we did sneak out a little.

It's back!!!

The camera is back and repaired. Now we can have pictures of me again. Of course they still won't be posted as often as you'd like. I'll try and do better.

Surgery

This past Thursday I woke up bright and early with my usual whimper to get Dada’s attention. I should have known something was going on when he came in already dressed for the day. Mama was already awake and dressed too, and Grandma was here. I must have been too tired to tell that everyone was kind of stressed out. I also should have got the hint that something was happening when I wasn’t offered any breakfast and we loaded up in the car.

The day before Mama and Dada started asking me if I wanted surgery. “Yeah,” I kept on saying. They gave me an “If you only knew” smile. But of course the trust I have in my parents outweighs any thoughts of deceit. We went to the doctor’s office so I got a little worried, but I’m young so I don’t’ quite remember what happens there, except I know I won’t like it.

I met some very nice ladies who smiled and laughed and waved at me. One put a red light on my toe, then my finger, and then my ear. She also tried finding my blood pressure. Good luck with that, last time they tried I didn’t have any. Then a man walked in and Mama and Dada didn’t seem so smiley anymore. I had Hippo with me to keep me happy since no one else was doing it.

After some boring grown up talk the lady with the red light issue put some medicine in a squirty. She gave it to Dada and he gave it to me. It was yummy but did a number on my coordination. Then Dada prayed for me and a lady came and took me away with the serious guy.

Two seconds later I woke up on a bed with a tube in my arm, a bandage on the other, my diaper hurt and no Mama or Dada. So I screamed. I screamed and screamed until Dada and Grandma came in and got me. Mama came a minute later. I was given some juice and a graham cracker (which I didn’t care for). I fell asleep on Mama’s lap when a different guy came in and started using really big words. Boring. I was very glad when I was wheeled out to the car but then they tried to take Hippo from me, I was not going to have that.

I got home and was given popsicles and a nap. I woke a little woozy but after eating something I felt better. I liked to be held by Mama and Dada and Grandma. I was read lots of books and pretty much had the royal treatment.

I am up and running now. Nothing can hold me back.

Later I was asked if I wanted to have surgery. Uhhh, “Yeah.”

These two pictures were taken right when we got home. You can see the bandage on my hand in the second one.

This picture was taken on the day of my surgery after my nap.

These last three pictures were taken the day after the surgery when I was allowed to play outside with my beans.

Thank you so much Grandma for coming and chasing me around. I had lots of fun.

Camping

After 16 and a half months of waiting Mama and Dada finally took me camping. We went to Pacific City, Oregon, with Bapa and Bapa’s ward. I got to play at the beach and eat outside and get dirty and sit by a fire and sleep in a tent and wake up at 5:30 in the morning. It was great. Here are some pictures from my adventure.

When we first got to the campsite we went to find Bapa and Bapa at the beach.

That is a big rock out there. Dada wouldn't let me swim to it.

This is that same rock but this was back when I was a baby in July of 2007. It was windy so we took a picture and then went back inside.

Back to now. I liked to hold the Frisbee.

Aunt Emmy-Emma was there too. She is keeping a good eye on the fire. She played with me and let me get up at 5:30.

This is our campsite. Mama, Dada, Aunt Emmy-Emma and I slept in the big tent and Bapa and Bapa slept in the small one. Bapa's snoring was as loud as the Dories' motors so it was hard to sleep with that next door.

Mama was feeding me a camping dinner: hotdogs and smores.

Our campground was crawling with bunnies. This one came over to say, "Feed me!!!"

Dada and I by our tent. I was cozy in my jammies.

I had a very busy first day of camping and couldn't wait to try sleeping in the tent. Here I am saying good night to Bapa. When it was time to go to sleep Mama asked me if I wanted to lie down and I said, "Yeah!" with a hint of Duh!

There are no pictures from the next day because all the batteries died in Dada's, Bapa's, and Aunt Emmy-Emma's cameras. That is ridiculous. I had a good time at the beach digging in the sand and running down the dune. I didn't like getting my hands too dirty though. I dug with a rake. I got so tired playing that I slept the whole way home. Mama slept too. And so did Dada... who was also driving. Maybe next time I'll just drive.
